Welcome to our Lincoln High School production of Peter and the Starcatcher!

Many of us have a soft spot in our hearts for the Peter Pan story. Over the years, there have been multiple variations that reveal more elements about dear Peter. Today, though, you’ll see Peter in his most delicate form; he’s been bruised by life and seems to have no direction–until he meets a fearless starcatcher-in-training named Molly Aster, who begins to show the boy a world of possibility.

Molly tells Peter, “To have faith is to have wings.” As our audience, we ask you to have faith that this small theatre can become a tempest-tossed ship, an open sea, and an uncharted island. In short, this stage is our playground (complete with teeter-totters). Beyond that, though, this space is where a lost, hurt little boy will learn what it takes to be a leader and will finally earn his name.

One element that makes this show particularly special is the community nature of the play. Our show begins with a collection of actors on stage, prepping the audience for an ensuing story. Those actors quickly become storytellers, villains, heroes, and prop pieces, each as essential to the play as the next. Our show ends with those same actors stepping back to finally allow Peter his chance to shine.

Molly reveals that starstuff turns people into what they want to be. To me, that is the very definition of theatre. The actors literally transform into other characters, but they are not alone in that adventure. The audience is along for the ride, immersing themselves in a world that is not their own. Join us on this wild, imaginative, musical journey…ready…set…GO!

Enjoy the show!
