Rowan Brown, Head costumer
Working on shows is a massive creative outlet for me, and I love how accomplished you feel after putting on a show with people you’ve worked side-by-side for the last month or longer. Without working as a costumer in LHS theater for the last few years, I wouldn’t know half the things I do now about group efforts, leadership, or what it means to be a creator. Being a part of this has not only made me grow as an artist, but as a person as well, and I thank my directors and peers for this endlessly.
I was last in Big Fish. I think others should get involved because of how great the drama community is.
LHS theater is an amazing community backed with phenomenal directors who care about their students and work tirelessly to pull things together. The students are just as dedicated and talented: it’s great all around. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn in an environment able to support you. Thank you to all of the directors I’ve worked with- Hardie, Winklepleck, Meyer. Each of you have majorly contributed to my growth as an actor, but, more importantly, my growth as a person.

My favorite part of LHS Theatre is watching everyone grow in their characters from the first read through to the time we get to perform. From the first day I walked into the little theatre my freshman year, our drama department felt like home because of the amazing people and wonderful craft it introduced me to. I hope that it continues to be a place of inclusion and family for many years after I graduate.
Theatre is a fun and inclusive activity that creates friendships, builds work ethic, and gives students a sense of belonging
There are so many talented individuals (actors, techies, and directors) involved in our theater department. It is wonderful to see how others bring the story to life. Everyone is committed to creating quality, meaningful pieces of art and it is truly an honor to get to work with them all.
CLARA CARLSON, TEACHER
I thoroughly enjoy dressing up in the costumes designed by our costume department! I also love to incorporate other art forms into the productions I am a part of, such as dancing and playing the violin. Theatre has helped me exponentially in becoming more charismatic in my day-to-day life. There is also an undeniable sense of camaraderie and companionship that I can't find in any other activity at Lincoln
My favorite thing about being a part of a LHS production is that I know that the hard work of all of my peers and my own is being displayed during every show with pride and I'm happy that I am a part of it. I’ve learned so much from a part of so many productions here, and I hope one day other people feel the same.
LHS Theare is a welcoming environment with very fulfilling work. Thanks to everyone involved in LHS Theatre over the years for leaving their mark.
MAX ALTENA, CAPTAIN SCOTT
It's super fun! Putting in the work towards production and seeing the product is one of the most rewarding and memorable things you can do in high school. There is a place for everyone in the theatre department! Thank you, LHS Theatre, for always being so welcoming and kind through the duration of these last 4 years! Without the support and encouragement I have received from everybody I probably would not be acting at all today.
I love making things and then seeing them being used on stage. Whether it be the set, or the props, it very fun to see. It's a fun after school activity that serves as a creative outlet.
Seeing it all come together and seeing the finished piece come to life and being able to share it with others is the best part of LHS Theatre. I also really enjoy the chaos of doing everyone's makeup before a performance. I love the community and it’s really fun to be a part of something that can impact everyone and bring together people that wouldn't necessarily be friends without theatre.
DILLON GLOVER, ENSEMBLE
I’d like to thank my friends for getting me suckered into theatre and supporting me along the way
LHS theater offers so many options. There's something for everyone. Anyone can find a group to fit into or a job that they can do, whether that is on stage or off. I'm so proud of the entire cast and crew and I can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the year. I'm so glad I got to be a part of Lincoln theater and the wonderful work that has been done over the last couple of years.
I love theatre because it a fun environment and even when you are being productive it doesn’t feel like work instead it is like hanging out with friends.
My advice: “Always put YOUR clothes back up on YOUR hanger”
